07-April-2015 – FRAMINGHAM, MA – The Web series Tandem Bike Cops produced by Framingham based MediaBoss Television, took home two LA Web Fest awards Saturday in the highly contested, comedy category this weekend. Tandem Bike Cops follows the crime fighting antics of two rookie officers in a police department with no budget, set in a fictitious western Massachusetts town called Boone.
Actor/Comedian/Radio Host, Chris Zito was awarded 'Outstanding Supporting Actor' for his role as Lt. Lou Tenant and Actress/Model Rachel Seeker was awarded 'Outstanding Supporting Actress' for her role as Investigator Rachel Foxxx. Rachel and Chris perform dramatically in a series of very 'over the top' comedy scenes.
"I'm blown away! We had so much fun and everyone was so funny in this cast," Zito said. "Thanks to Ian Barrett and Erin Hayes and everyone at MediaBoss. God Bless the Internet and these United States of America!"
"I could not be happier to be involved with Tandem Bike Cops," said Seeker. "The characters are all unique and that's part of what really makes it work. When you love what you do and it doesn't feel like work, that's when you're doing what you were meant to do! Can't wait to shoot Season Two!"
The initial concept of Tandem Bike Cops was brought to MediaBoss by Funny It Up Productions, a comedy group based in Framingham, MA. MediaBoss expanded the concept and added a supporting cast and guest characters and took over the production of the series.
"I'm really proud of the entire cast and the studio, it was a lot of hard work to get Season One of Tandem Bike Cops out," said MediaBoss Creative Director, Ian Barrett. “We've gotten excellent feedback and next season looks to be even better than we imagined, we are truly fortunate."
Christian Boudreau and Richie Montuori star as the Tandem Bike Cops. The first three episodes of Tandem Bike Cops Season One are available online.
